Sakai 21 - Course and Project Sites: Where is my Sakai course?

Where is my Sakai course?

If you are a student and can't find a specific course site in Sakai, one or more of the following issues might explain why you do not yet have access:

  • Your instructor might not yet have published the course in Sakai. At the beginning of an academic term, it is normal for some instructors to not yet publish a course site in Sakai until they make an announcement regarding it in class. Refer to your syllabus or check with your instructor if you are unsure if or when the Sakai course will be published. When a course in Sakai is published is at each instructor's discretion.

  • Your record of enrollment for the course might not yet have propagated to Sakai. Updates to enrollment records in Banner do not propagate to Sakai until the following morning. If needed, your instructor can manually add you to a course in Sakai.

  • Not all PLU courses have Sakai sites. Refer to your syllabus or check with your instructor if you are unsure of whether a Sakai site is available for the course they are teaching.

If none of the issues above pertain, you can find the course and project sites to which you currently belong in the Site Navigation. For details on this, refer to the video, Accessing & Organizing Course Sites.

If you still can't find your course, you can make a help desk request, which requires login with a PLU ePass, or you can email sakai@plu.edu for help.
