Sakai 21 - Getting Started Guides and Tutorials: Exporting Course Content from Sakai

Exporting Course Content from Sakai

An instructor can export Sakai content associated with the Lessons tool, the Resources tool, and the Tests & Quizzes tool. More details are below. The export process for these tools is on a per site basis. For other Sakai content that an instructor wants to preserve, preservation options include either making screenshots or copying and pasting content from a web browser into a MS Word document or a Google Doc that is associated with a personal (non-PLU) account.

Lessons: How do I export Lessons content?

Resources: If not all the instructor's files in Resources are linked from Lessons pages, then an instructor can create a zip file of the site's topmost (root) folder, and then download that zip file. Alternatively, the instructor can use this method, though it tends to be more complicated if the instructor does not use Cyberduck or other similar software regularly.

Tests & Quizzes: If not all the instructor's assessments from Tests & Quizzes are linked to Lessons pages, then the instructor can export the remaining assessments in QTI format one-by one: How do I import and export assessments?
