How do I search for a PLU ePass username?
PLU ePass accounts are granted to employees and registered students of Pacific Lutheran University. Students, faculty, and staff who have logged in with their PLU ePass account can look up the ePass usernames of others through an internal directory on Google Contacts. Knowing someone’s ePass username may be necessary, for example, for manually adding members to your course or project site. The steps below describe how to look up someone’s PLU ePass username.
Login with your PLU ePass.
To look up someone’s PLU ePass username, you must be logged with your PLU ePass credentials. If you are not yet logged in, click the following link to do so: https://mail.google.com/a/plu.edu/.
Go to Google Contacts.
Navigate to Google Contacts. The URL is https://contacts.google.com/. PLU’s internal directory is available at https://contacts.google.com/directory. Either location will work. A screenshot of the internal directory is depicted below.
Search by name.
Enter the name of the person you want to look up in the search bar at the top. Click the name of the person in the popup menu of search results.
Locate the ePass username.
Directory and other contact information for the selected person will display.
Scroll down within the popup as needed to locate the PLU_Information section. If the person in question is a current student, employee, alum, or affiliate, that person’s ePass username should be listed under the label EPASS as highlighted below.
