Flushing DNS Cache - Windows
How to flush the DNS cache on a Windows PC.
- Open Command Prompt as administrator:
- Click the Start button and type cmd in the search bar.
- Right-click on "Command Prompt" in the search results and select "Run as administrator".
- Confirm any prompts to allow the program to make changes to your device.
- Run the flush command:
- In the Command Prompt window, type ipconfig /flushdns and press
Enter.
- In the Command Prompt window, type ipconfig /flushdns and press
- Verify the flush:
- You should see a message confirming that the DNS Resolver Cache has been successfully flushed.
- Close Command Prompt:
- Type exit and press Enter, or close the window by clicking the red "X"
