How do I use the date pickers in Sakai?

Datetime fields in Sakai are segmented into discrete subfields (for setting the year, month, day, hour, minute and AM/PM), in a fixed format where each subfield has discrete focus.

Note: Instructors can type each of these values (for setting the year, month, day, hour, minute and AM/PM) with a keyboard. If selecting values using a mouse, note that the display and available features of the date depend on the browser (Chrome, Firefox, Safari) used for navigating Sakai. Some browsers (e.g., Firefox, Safari) do not support a popup timepicker.

Important: Copying and pasting a datetime value in Sakai from one field to another is currently only available in Chrome.

Type directly into the date picker to set values.

Or click the calendar icon to display date and time pickers.

Select the desired date and time. (Note that not all web browsers support a time picker. Chrome supports both.)

(Chrome only) To copy and paste datetime values:

Click the copy icon. This copies the corresponding datetime value to the clipboard.

Click or tab to obtain focus for one of the values in the date picker where you want to paste the copied value.

Type Ctrl-V (Windows) or Cmd-V (Mac) to paste the copied datetime value.
