How do I apply rich-text formatting to markup text?
If wanting to apply boldface, italics, etc. to markup text:
-
First, Click the Show Rich-Text Editor link which will display the rich-text editor.
-
Keystroke Ctrl-Shift-v for Windows or Cmd-Option-Shift-v for Mac to paste copied markup as plain text.
-
Apply your intended formatting in the editor per the following instructions.
Instructions for the rich-text editor
-
Question text: Apply rich text (boldface, italics, etc.) only to the text part of the question definition. Do not apply rich text to the question number, the number of points, etc. as this will cause the question to not be created properly.
-
Multiple choice answer text: Apply rich text (boldface, italics, etc.) only to the text part of the answer definition. Do not apply rich text to the letter and period (e.g., “a.”, “b.”, “c.”, etc.) that comes before the answer text as this will cause the answer text to not be created properly.
