Creating a New Video
To create a new video, press the Create New Interactive Video button in the upper right corner of the screen.
In Step 1: Video Source, choose a video source.
- You may choose a WeVideo file from your edited videos (wevideo button), input a URL directly (Input URL button), source a video from YouTube (YouTube button), or a variety of other options.
- Change the title of the video, and change the thumbnail as desired.
- Press "Customize" or "Done" to move on.
In Step 2: Accessibility, you will be asked about captions and other accessibility options.
In Step 3: Trim & Crop, you can make some basic video edits, including trimming the ends or trimming out parts within a video under Advanced. It's recommended to use WeVideo's editor before adding interactivity if significant edits are required.
You may add multiple videos to a project - just follow the same steps after uploading a new video.

Interactivity Options
In this section, we will explore different Interactivity options for videos after uploading/processing. Refer to the previous guide window for help with the 3-step video creation process.
To create a new interaction, press the Create New Interaction button.
Interaction Types
- Choose your interaction type from the drop-down in the upper left corner of the new window (default: Multiple Choice)
- Choose the timestamp. You can either choose to add an interaction while playing the video, or click to copy the timestamp in the lower left from where you want to make an interaction (example: 00:54 seconds).
- Add information to the interactive question of your choosing (example: multiple choice relative to video segment), and choose the correct answer, or other options as requested by the software as they are related to the type of question/interaction you choose.
- A full list of interaction types is available upon clicking the drop-down, typically listed as "multiple choice" selected.
- If choosing to embed a website, please keep in mind not all web pages are able to be embedded due to security options. For example, I cannot embed a PLU KB page, but I can embed a PLU website search for that KB page.
Advanced Options
- Choose whether the question is required, randomization of questions, whether it pauses, to hide the correct answer upon selection, and other advanced options by clicking the "Advanced Options" button.

Review & Share
Upon finishing interactivity elements, it's time to review the information and video, then share it with a class. Due to license constraints, Teachers are able to share the videos with a set Class, which we will cover setting up shortly. If you need help with this process, please reach out to Instructional Technologies with a Consultation Ticket.
Video Review
- Here you can change playback options for your students and adjust privacy settings.
- Keep in mind, only students from your class on the PLU WeVideo license will be able to see the video, alongside other instructors in the organization.
- When finished reviewing, press the Save and Exit button.
Post-Review Sharing
- When your video is saved, you can click on the triple-dot button under the "Actions" column to: share with students, edit the video, and a host of other options.
- To share your video, press the triple dot button and press "Share Link"
- Due to license constraints, the option to "Assign to Learners" is selected automatically, and the only option available for now.
- To assign to learners, you must have an available class - you can create a temporary class by pressing "New Class" with just yourself before adding students to the license. To receive student licenses, please reach out to Instructional Technologies via ticket and request a student license link.
Classes
- To add students to a class, return to the Interactivity hub and visit the Classes menu on the left side of the screen.
- Click "create" to make a new class, or visit a created class and click the "Share Invite Link or Code" button to add students. Students without a WeVideo license will join automatically. Please ensure students use only their PLU email to sign up.
