CenturyLink : Disabling 'Secure WiFi' or 'Cyber Security'

This article describes how to disable the security featuer on some CenturyLink modems that causes issues with viewing PLU.edu websites.

Connect to router. Default IP is 192.168.0.1.

Username and Password are

User: admin

Pass: The password that was set for the Wi-Fi (should be on a sticker on the modem)

Select ‘Advanced Setup’

On the Left-hand menu, you should have an option for ‘Cyber Security’ at the very bottom of the list.

Select this and you should see the following

Select the drop-down menu and change to ‘Disable Modem Security Until I Turn Back On

Click on ‘Apply’ and the modem/router should save the setting and now show ‘Cyber Security State – Disabled
