How do I print sign-in and attendance sheets?

The attendance tool allows you to print a sign-in sheet and a taking attendance sheet for each attendance item. The sign-in sheet provides your students a signature box next to their printed name which they sign as they come into class. The take attendance sheet is for the instructor to use to mark students as present, absent, excused, late, or left early.

To create and print out attendance sheets:

  1. Navigate to the Attendance tool in your course site.

  2. Navigate to the Attendance tab, if needed.

  3. You must have created at least one attendance item to print sign-in and attendance sheets. Click on the Actions button and select Print next to the attendance item you'd like to print.

  4. Choose the entire site or a group from the Group drop down menu.

  5. Choose if you want to print a sign-in sheet or an attendance sheet.

  6. Press the Print button to open or download a PDF of the file.

  7. Print the file to the printers that you have installed on your computer.
