Palm Cameras (Vixia HF R800)
Description: The Vixia HF R800 palm camera is a good, basic video recorder with a variety of adjustments for different environments and lighting conditions.
Appropriate Usage: It’s best suited for shorter or longer shot duration, with proper lighting and sound equipment.

Setup:
- Insert the battery and SD card provided in the camera bag.
- Attach or connect any audio equipment if applicable.
- Hold the On/Off toggle and flip open the LCD screen.
- Tap the mode button in the upper left corner of the screen and set the mode to “Auto”.
- Adjust settings in the lower right corner of the screen as needed.
- Check audio levels. Preferably record between -18 and -12dB. Increase or decrease audio levels on your device or in the settings in the lower right corner as needed.
- Make sure to check battery levels while recording, and swap/charge batteries if needed.
Canon VIXIA HF R800 Quick Tutorial: This video is good for a brief overview of all the tools, and for advice on small adjustments to increase recording quality.
