How do I search for a PLU ePass username?
PLU ePass accounts are granted to employees and registered students of Pacific Lutheran Univeristy. Persons who have a PLU ePass account can look up the ePass usernames of others through the online Search and Directory. This can be useful, for example, for adding members to your course or project site.
In Search and Directory, search for the person in question, and click on the person's name under People returned by the search. This is a link to the person's directory page. If you don't see an entry for ePass on the person's directory page, click on the link at the bottom of the directory page labeled Sign in to view additional information. Doing so should yield the person's ePass username.
If the person you are not looking for is not listed in Search and Directory, it may be possible to derive their ePass username in PLU Gmail. For instance, begin composing a new message in Gmail, noting that you can cancel or discard the message before sending it. In the "To" field begin typing their first or last name. In the example below, two PLU email addresses for the same person "Sean Horner" popup in the midst of typing "horner" in the "To" field. The ePass username might be derived from one of these addresses. In this instance, "hornersa" is the correct ePass username for Sean Horner.
