How do I initialize and secure my guest account?
The following instructions will initialize the password for your guest account in Sakai.
1. Reset your password.
1b. Type the email address for which your guest account was created in the text field labeled Your email address, and click the button labeled Send Password. See screenshot below.
1c. After clicking Send Password, you will see a confirmation message in Sakai—see screenshot below. An email containing a hyperlink will be sent to you from email@example.com with the subject, "PLU Sakai: New Guest Password Request."
2. Choose and set your password.
2a. Click on the hyperlink from the email sent to you—(refer to step 1c above).
2b. When prompted by the Reset Guest Account Password dialog depicted below, enter a password in both the New password and Confirm password text fields, and click the Change guest password and login button. You should then be logged into Sakai.
3. Thereafter, login to Sakai via the 'Guest Account' button.
3a. To login to Sakai thereafter, click the Guests login button (not the ePass button) depicted below.
3b. When prompted by the Guest Account Login dialog depicted below, enter your guest account username (which for most guest accounts is the same as the guest's email address) and password to login.
