Eduroam Network Registration Instructions

Please follow the instructions below to connect your device to eduroam:

Windows:

  1. Connect to ‘eduroam’ WiFi.
  2. Enter username (username@plu.edu) and ePass password.
  3. Click the ‘connect’ button.

Windows 8 (and earlier):

  1. Go to cat.eduroam.org and click the button to download the installer.
  2. Select "Pacific Lutheran University" from the list of participating organizations.
  3. Download the appropriate installer for your device and click to open the .exe file once the download is complete.
  4. Continue through the setup process, being sure to enter your full ePass username (including the @plu.edu) and your ePass password when prompted.
  5. Once the installer has finished, your wireless connection should automatically switch over to the eduroam network and allow you network access.

Apple Devices (iOS and MacOS):

  1. Connect to ‘PLU Access’ WiFi.
  2. Go to cat.eduroam.org and click the button to download profile.
  3. Install the profile.
  4. Set up profile (found as a notification in settings on iOS and in Profile/User utility on MacOS).
  5. Follow instructions and enter username (username@plu.edu) and password (ePass password) when asked.
  6. Connect to ‘eduroam’ WiFi.

Android:

  1. Verify that you are in range of the eduroam wireless network.
  2. Continue to the Google Play Store to download and install the geteduroam app from SURF Cooperative.
  3. Open the app and enter in “Pacific Lutheran University” for the institution.
  4. Enter your full ePass username (including the @plu.edu) as well as your ePass password.

Chrome OS:

  1. Continue to cat.eduroam.org and click the button to download the installer.
  2. Select "Pacific Lutheran University" from the list of participating organizations.
  3. Download the Chrome OS installer and browse to chrome://net-internals/#chromeos
  4. Click on the 'Import ONC file' button to set up the network profile.
  5. When prompted, enter your full ePass username (including the @plu.edu) as well as your ePass password.
  6. Once the installer has finished, your wireless connection should automatically switch over to the eduroam network and allow you network access.

Linux:

  1. Select 'eduroam' in the WiFi settings menu.
  2. In the authentication dropdown, select PEAP.
  3. Enter the following settings:
    • Anonymous Identity: Leave Empty
    • Domain: plu.edu
    • No CA certificate is required: check
    • PEAP version: Automatic
    • Inner Authentication: MSCHAPv2
    • Username: Full PLU email address
    • Password: ePass Password 
  4. Select 'Save' and connect.
