Eduroam Network Registration Instructions
Please follow the instructions below to connect your device to eduroam:
Windows:
- Connect to ‘eduroam’ WiFi.
- Enter username (username@plu.edu) and ePass password.
- Click the ‘connect’ button.
Windows 8 (and earlier):
- Go to cat.eduroam.org and click the button to download the installer.
- Select "Pacific Lutheran University" from the list of participating organizations.
- Download the appropriate installer for your device and click to open the .exe file once the download is complete.
- Continue through the setup process, being sure to enter your full ePass username (including the @plu.edu) and your ePass password when prompted.
- Once the installer has finished, your wireless connection should automatically switch over to the eduroam network and allow you network access.
Apple Devices (iOS and MacOS):
- Connect to ‘PLU Access’ WiFi.
- Go to cat.eduroam.org and click the button to download profile.
- Install the profile.
- Set up profile (found as a notification in settings on iOS and in Profile/User utility on MacOS).
- Follow instructions and enter username (username@plu.edu) and password (ePass password) when asked.
- Connect to ‘eduroam’ WiFi.
Android:
- Verify that you are in range of the eduroam wireless network.
- Continue to the Google Play Store to download and install the geteduroam app from SURF Cooperative.
- Open the app and enter in “Pacific Lutheran University” for the institution.
- Enter your full ePass username (including the @plu.edu) as well as your ePass password.
Chrome OS:
- Continue to cat.eduroam.org and click the button to download the installer.
- Select "Pacific Lutheran University" from the list of participating organizations.
- Download the Chrome OS installer and browse to chrome://net-internals/#chromeos
- Click on the 'Import ONC file' button to set up the network profile.
- When prompted, enter your full ePass username (including the @plu.edu) as well as your ePass password.
- Once the installer has finished, your wireless connection should automatically switch over to the eduroam network and allow you network access.
Linux:
- Select 'eduroam' in the WiFi settings menu.
- In the authentication dropdown, select PEAP.
- Enter the following settings:
- Anonymous Identity: Leave Empty
- Domain: plu.edu
- No CA certificate is required: check
- PEAP version: Automatic
- Inner Authentication: MSCHAPv2
- Username: Full PLU email address
- Password: ePass Password
- Select 'Save' and connect.
