Transition Guide from Zoom to Google Meet

As of Summer 2025, PLU is fully transitioning to Google Meet from Zoom. Read through this document and its links for more information about this transition, comparisons between features, and questions about how to use Google Meet to do the same actions as in Zoom.

About the Transition to Google Meet

Google Meet has seen vast improvement from the version most remember seeing in 2020, and has become an ideal video conferencing solution for PLU.

If you haven't heard about Google Meet before, it is a meeting platform native to our Google Workspace, which is highly integrated with other Google products like Google Calendar, and is available to access at any time by anyone at PLU.
