How do I change my preferred email address?

Changing your preferred email setting:

You can set your preferred email address by going to and selecting the “Manage Email Addresses” option on the left side of the page.  If you aren’t already signed into an online service using your PLU credentials, it will ask you to log in and verify your identity before allowing you to make any changes.

You should then be presented with the following screen:

All of your current PLU account usernames and aliases should be listed here.  Select the options to the right of any given username to modify the settings for that particular account.  The one marked as “Preferred” will be considered your primary address.  If you change any of the settings here, please allow 24-48 hours for the change to propagate through to other PLU systems.

What does this setting change?

The preferred email address setting is a new feature and is still in the process of being integrated in to other PLU online services.  Currently, this change will automatically trigger changes to your preferences for the following services:

Banner -

We will list other services that have been integrated here as they become available.  Please note that Google Workspace is not listed here and any changes to how your PLU email is sent out will require additional steps.  Please see “Gmail: Changing the sender address for outgoing email messages” to modify those settings if desired.
