Sakai 23 - Course Sites & Navigation: How can I check if my site is published?

How can I check if my site is published?

Unpublished sites are only available to Instructors and site owners. Other site participants, such as Students and Teaching Assistants, cannot access unpublished sites.

By default, most sites are Unpublished when they are first created. This gives instructors or course designers a chance to configure the site and edit the content before it is available to students and other participants. Some institutions publish all current courses automatically at the beginning of the academic term. Institutions may also unpublish courses sites from prior or future terms.

See How do I control site access? for information about changing a site's availability.

Go to the Site Info tool.

Select the Site Info tool from the Tool Menu of your site.

Inspect the availability information.

If the site is unpublished, the Available to row will display Site owner and organizers only. This indicates that Students and Teaching Assistants who are listed in the site participants area are NOT able to access the site.

If the site is published, the Available to row will display Site participants only.
