Google Slides: Presenting & Downloading

This article covers instructions for using the web version of Google Slides. Be aware that other versions, such as the mobile app, will vary in functionality.

Presentations can be presented directly from Google Slides as well as downloaded in various formats, including PowerPoint and PDF. 

Presenting

To present a presentation:
  1. Click the "Present" button to the top right. The presentation will load full screen.

  2. Use the keyboard or the arrows in the toolbar to navigate through the presentation.
  • Next slide: Space bar, right arrow, or left-click the mouse.
  • Previous slide: Backspace(PC)/Delete(Mac) or left arrow.
  • When finished presenting, press "Esc" on the keyboard to return to editing mode and exit full screen.

    Downloading

    To download a presentation, navigate to File > Download and make a selection (PowerPoint, PDF, etc). The selected file type will download.
