Adobe Audition is an industry standard professional audio editing application. It has options for non-destructive mixing and editing, as well as destructive waveform editing. Adobe Audition can be used to create podcasts, music, or other audio projects.
Note: If Audition is too complex of a program to start, try a free and easy-to-use alternative, Audacity.
