Campuswire: Direct Messaging (DMs)

Direct Messages (DMs) can be used to communicate privately one-on-one with any student or instructor that has a PLU Campuswire account. DMs are accessed from the top of the tool menu to the left.

To start a new DM conversation with a user, either:
  • Navigate to DMs, click the “Search for someone to DM” button, enter a name or email address, and select the user under “People.” Users can be searched by Class/Group as well.
  • From the Class Feed, click a user’s profile icon, and click the “Direct message” button from the pop-up that appears.
  • Navigate to Settings, click the “Class members” tab, click the three-dot button to the right of the user’s name, and select “Direct message user” from the pop-up that appears.
  • Click the Live Users list to the bottom of the page and click a user’s name.
All created conversations will appear in a list in the DMs. To quickly search for an existing conversation, use the “Filter DMs” field above the list.

To delete or mute a conversation, hover over it, click the three-dot button, and select an option.

The Campuswire Help Center is available to the bottom-left of the page.
