Instructional Technologies (iTech)

The Instructional Technologies (iTech) team is focused on supporting course-integrated technologies, including digital media software and hardware, as well as educational technology. They offer trainings for programs such as the Adobe CC Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, etc.), both on a one-on-one basis as well as in-class workshops.
Support areas:
  • Digital media software and hardware assistance, training, and workshops
  • Educational and Instructional technologies
  • Course-integrated technology consultations
  • Digital signage needs, such as installation, training, and troubleshooting
  • Audience response software
  • Digital media production assistance, including instructional videos and video assignments
  • Labs & Studios
  • Web-conferencing
  • Student, classroom, and academic podcasting (in collaboration with the Digital Humanities Lab)
  • The Lightboard
  • Google Apps
  • Microsoft Office
  • Sakai
  • Turnitin
Faculty members interested in learning more about possibilities for integrating technology into their pedagogy or instruction can schedule consultations with iTech (itech@plu.edu). Any PLU member can request individual trainings for various software programs as well, such as for video editing or graphic design.
