Google Sites: Inserting Embeds (YouTube videos, etc)

New Google Sites, 2021. Be aware that different versions of Google Sites will vary in appearance and functionality. Access Google Sites at sites.google.com.

Embedding a URL will create an interactive element, such as a video player.

To embed URLs, such as for an online video:
  1. Copy the URL or embed code from the desired source.
  2. Navigate to the Insert tab to the right and click the "Embed" element. A new window will appear.

  3. Paste the URL in the "By URL" tab, or embed code in the "Embed code" tab.
  4. Click "Insert."
The embedded element will be added to the page.
